Somos Melbourne

The Company kicks off the annual tour in March with the premiere in Melbourne of Rafael Bonachela’s smash-hit, Somos.

Beloved by audiences and critics alike following its world premiere in 2023, this tender and powerful work will be enriched with new poetic moments as it returns to the stage in 2025.

Meaning “we are” in Spanish, Somos features a cascade of intimate solos, duets and trios with a distinct Spanish flavour. Set to music by powerhouse Hispanic artists and performed in the round, this intimate setting will provide you with unparalleled connection to our Company dancers as you are blown away by their formidable artistry and breathtaking physicality closer than ever.

How to get there

Arts Centre Melbourne is located across the river from Flinders Street Station in Melbourne CBD. There are a wide range of transport options to get to any of our venues.

Train
The closest train station to all three venues is Flinders Street Station. Exit the station onto Swanston Street, turn your back on the city and walk across Princes Bridge.

Tram
The tram routes that stop in front of Arts Centre Melbourne are: 1, 3, 3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72. This stop is number 14 – “Arts Precinct ”.

Parking
The Arts Centre Melbourne Car Park entry and exit is via Kavanagh Street or Southbank Boulevard. Works continue throughout the Southbank precinct. Please ensure you plan ahead and allow additional time to reach the venue and be seated by the start time. If you arrive after the start time, you may not be admitted until a suitable break. Our car park is a cash-free facility, so please make sure you have a valid credit or debit card before entering. Find out more about our car park.

There is extremely limited street parking around all three venues, including several accessible car parks. These spaces cannot be reserved, and time limits may apply.
