Jez Smith
Photographer Jez Smith is well-known in Australia as one of the industries most sought after professionals.
Born and raised in England, Jez honed his craft in London and New York before making a move to Sydney in the 90’s, and then divided his time between London and Sydney for the next 10 years.
He is highly regarded for his fashion editorial, advertising, and celebrity portraiture work.
Jez has worked for all major fashion publications including Italian Vogue, Harpers Bazaar (UK and AUS), Vogue (AUS), In Style, Grazia (UK and AUS), Surface (US), GQ (UK and AUS), Oyster (AUS) and Karen (AUS).
Advertising clients include iconic Australian labels: Bonds, Collette Dinnigan. Berlei, Elle Bache, Tigerlily, Mambo, Westfield, Speedo, David Jones, Calibre, Jigsaw, Canturi, Carla Zampatti, Cotton On, Harris Scarfe and arts organisations such as Sydney Dance Company and Sydney Theatre Company.

Jez has appeared on Australia’s Next Top Model and America’s Next Top Model as the industry expert and photographer, for 3 seasons each and is about to reprise his role on Asia’s Next Top Model.
Jez held his first solo exhibition, titled Pushing for Perfection at the Sydney Opera House in collaboration with Sydney Dance Company. Jez photographed the campaign artwork for Sydney Dance Company’s 2 One Another (2012) and The Land of Yes and the Land of No(2011).
