“When Gideon Obarzanek approached me with the idea of creating an immersive virtual dance experience I didn’t think twice about it,” says Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela.

“I loved the idea of our audience being on a virtual stage, getting up close and personal with the dancers and interacting in the space with the choreography. A very important part of my vision for Sydney Dance Company is to commission works that are multidisciplinary collaborations with celebrated and influential artists in different fields, embracing different disciplines with a multitude of forms like technology.
This project was groundbreaking, once again stretching what this Company is and can do, finding new ways to present and to experience dance outside the traditional proscenium arch. It has been wonderful to take Stuck In The Middle With You with us to audiences around the world.”
