An important update about Sydney Dance Company email provider
Sydney Dance Company’s email marketing service provider, Wordfly, has been subject to a security incident.
What's happened?
The email service provider that Sydney Dance Company uses has experienced a network outage as a result of a cyber security incident. This service is run by a company called Wordfly.
On Saturday 16 July, Wordfly confirmed that names and email addresses of those subscribed to Sydney Dance Company communications may have been impacted. There is currently no evidence that any of this data has been misused.
Wordfly is investigating this incident and their teams are working with experts to remediate the situation.
What does this mean for my personal information?
Please be advised that the only personal information Sydney Dance Company utilises in Wordfly is names and email addresses. This information is necessary in order to be able to communicate effectively with our audiences.
Sydney Dance Company and Wordfly take the privacy and security of personal data very seriously. Safeguarding and maintaining the confidentiality of our audience’s data remains our shared priority.
